Summary A collaboration between Bowling Green State University and Case Western Reserve University, "Pocket Virtual Worlds" is an immersive photographic virtual reality space which is explored on a handheld or mobile phone with kinesthetic interactivity. The goal is to enable classroom-bound students to take “virtual field trips” and explore locations such as a medieval ruin or the Amazon rainforest. Since the program can use digitally-created images as well as photographs, students could also theoretically explore outer space, inner-space, or locations in history. "Pocket Mobile Gaming" takes "Pocket Virtual Worlds" to the next level and adds single and muti- user gameplay to the photographic virtual world.
