SIGGRAPH 2007
| OK folks, here is Wednesday (ie Day 6). Not a lot of pictures today because I was speaking and had to take care of those duties. I keep seeing Marco and Oliver but we really haven't done the parties this year like we have in previous years. Bad timing I guess. |
| Hiram Ash from the Southeast Review |
| John Markoff from The New York Times, we have a nice conversation about the nature of the conference. Its amazing how it has changed over the years. |
Jurgen Pfister from Digital Production asked if we could cross link! Of course. |
I asked why. He said that in the office they did this to his photo and he wanted to not cause anyone any confusion. Also note the lack of Emma's finger. |
His ribbons said paper reviewer and paper presenter. I asked if this was a conflict of interest. |
| This is Dr. Ramesh Raskar from MERL and he is a ribbon whore. But he wanted me to make sure I knew he wasn't THE ribbon whore just A ribbon whore. He even covered them up (there were a lot and they were all real AND important). |
| Lucasfilm playing cards. |
| Why do I have no caption? |
| I went to speaker prep and used a PC cause you can't trust PowerPoint on a Mac. |
| Also stopped by the Student SpaceTime Gallery. |
| Its Joe Roache from Florida A&M who I know from the NMC. |
| My name in lights (well my talk's name) |
| First went the animatronics stuffed animals. |
| And then me (a hard act to follow!) |
| I saw Vicki Davis from Samuel Merrit College and her husband Joel Davis now at Tippet Studio (congrads)! |
| Chris Aimone played this for me. |
| Some fans of my talk! Thanks guys! |
| A possible stereo pair of the Beowulf Hologram. |
| Off to the Electronic Theater. |
| Raphael Llorens |
| All it needs now is some stereo filters! |
| Big screen. |
| Laser projection! It was live laser vector graphics and they played real time video games on it! |
| Asteroids |
| Tempest! |
| Star Wars! |
